High Speed DSL for Business OSO Technologies

SDSL for Business

Order Or Inquire About DSL

SDSL is often available in areas Qwest’s ADSL isn’t. To see if your business qualifies for SDSL service, send your phone number and physical address and we’ll check availability.

SDSL- The "S" stands for symmetrical. This means you upload at the same speed as you download, or you send files as fast as you receive them. SDSL is a service specifically tailored to meet the needs of businesses or people that demand an inexpensive, high-grade data connection. Includes:

  • SDSL and IDSL lines provide the same speed uploading and downloading

  • Up to 5 email accounts and 50 hours of dial-up access per month (10 email accounts provided with speeds of 768K and greater)

  • Multiple users on a LAN may utilize your SDSL service simultaneously. SDSL replaces multiple dial-up accounts while gaining efficiencies in speed and dependability. SDSL eliminates the need for local phone lines used primarily for Internet access.

  • All SDSL orders include a router with basic firewall capabilities (IP filtering). Routers provide a higher level of security and easily connect multiple PC’s. The router includes firewall software for increased security. Routers also provide more functionality, such as connecting multiple computers to one DSL line.

  • Service level agreements between New Edge Networks and Oso Grande Technologies guarantee that customer connections have a 99.9% uptime over a given month.

  • SDSL is “Always on” and provides unlimited usage. This eliminates the need to “dial-up”, including the ubiquitous busy signals. You won’t be “timed out” after sitting idle for a few minutes nor are there any limitations on how often the service is used. DSL is a flat rate service. It stays connected 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and you pay the same rate every month.

  • OSO Grande Technologies serves as sole point of contact for all customer inquiries. Oso Grande’s Service Support Center (SSC) provides world-class, quality, and on-time support for all customers accessing our Internet-based services. When you request support, whatever the issue, your Service Support Team will work with you until we have either resolved the issue or identified a resolution. At OGT, we have organized our entire company around servicing our customers. Your Service Support Team can assist you with all your needs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. For customers utilizing DSL services, Oso Grande will deal with DSL provider on your behalf.

IDSL –IDSL is a system in which digital data is transmitted at 128 Kbps on a regular copper telephone line using digital (rather than analog or voice) transmission, bypassing the telephone company's central office equipment that handles analog signals. IDSL uses the Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) Basic Rate Interface in ISDN transmission code.

The differences between IDSL and ISDN are:

  • ISDN passes through the phone company's central office voice network; IDSL bypasses it by plugging into a special router at the phone company end.
  • ISDN requires call setup; IDSL is a dedicated service (“always on”).
  • ISDN may involve per-call fees or may be billed by the minute; IDSL is billed at a flat rate with no usage charges.
IDSL may be available in areas that SDSL or ADSL isn’t. In most cases, it is less expensive and more efficient than ISDN or dedicated 56k lines.
