*OSO Hosted Exchange 2003 offers a complete Exchange collaboration solution, though email is operated via the standard OSO mail servers – not the Exchange Server. Collaborative features and synchronized email are accessible via Outlook Web Access. New email must be accessed via OSO webmail.
**Setup Instructions** New Email Account Add Exchange via the mail icon in the control panel. Use exchange.osogrande.com as the server name – under “more settings” click the Advanced tab and ensure there is a checkmark in the “use cached Exchange mode” and with “Download Public Folder Favorites”. Click the Connection tab and check the “Connect to my exchange mailbox using http” box and click the Exchange Proxy settings button. Enter exchange.osogrande.com for the URL to create the user session, then select Basic Authentication under the Proxy authentication settings. Click OK. Add the POP email using mail.osogrande.com as the incoming server and smtp.osogrande.com as the outgoing email server. Click More settings and then the Advanced Tab. Put a checkmark in the Leave a copy of message on the server and a checkmark in the remove from the server when deleted from ‘Deleted Items.’ Direct all incoming mail to the folders setup by Exchange. Setup AutoArchive. Transitioning an existing email over to Exchange: Setup Exchange from the mail icon in the control panel using New Email Procedure. Import Existing Email and other settings from the old pst or copy over from personal folders. After the Exchange mailbox has been selected as the default delivery location, you can right-click on the personal folders and close them. Setup AutoArchive Tips on Usage: If the user is not prompted for the Exchange password when Outlook is opened, click File and then uncheck “work offline.” Username should appear in the following format: EXCHANGE\username. Users should be trained to briefly check that they are not offline when they launch Outlook. Click Tools – Options – Mail Setup Tab and click the send/receive button. Check the box to send/receive every 5 minutes or so if you want to simulate an IMAP connection. Outlook Web Access (OWA) Users can access their email, calendars, contacts, etc. via the Internet Explorer browser by going to https://exchange.osogrande.com/exchange and logging in with their username and Exchange password.
